Russian courts insist ‘Allahu-Akhbar’ screaming baby head-cutter is not terrorist but ‘mentally ill’

Killer nanny who beheaded four-year-old girl because ‘Russia bombed Syria’ is NOT a terrorist, she’s mentally ill, court to be told

  • Gyulchehra Bobokulova pleaded guilty to killing girl, four she cared for
  • She decapitated Anastasia Meshcheryakova, four, and set her home on fire
  • Bobokulova, 39, then paraded her head through the streets screaming ‘Allahu Akbar’
  • She claimed she had done it because Vladimir Putin dropped bombs on Syria
  • But prosecutors in Russia say she is not a terrorist and they will not submit evidence linking her to radical Islam
  • She is considered mentally incapable after being diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia

A nanny’s admission that she beheaded a four-year-old child to avenge Vladimir Putin ‘spilling the blood’ of Muslims in Syria appears to have been removed from the evidence at her Moscow trial.

In shocking testimony soon after she decapitated the girl with a kitchen knife, Gyulchehra Bobokulova, 39, told her police interrogators that Kremlin military actions had triggered her horrific attack.

After beheading helpless Anastasia Meshcheryakova, the burka-clad babysitter strode around the city waving the girl’s severed head in the air, shouting ‘Allah Akbar’ and threatening to blow herself up.

Her leaked statement on the murder, to which she immediately confessed on 29 February, suggested a direct political motive.

She also claimed God ordered her to kill the disabled girl. Clutching the severed head, she shouted: ‘I am a terrorist’

As her trial started this week, her court-appointed lawyer Alexander Goverdovsky revealed prosecutors will offer no evidence suggesting she acted under the influence of radical Islam or on behalf of a terror organisation.

He told reporters that he ‘did not see any information’ suggesting such a motive in the case files which form the court testimony, which he has studied in detail.

Instead, Bobokulova has been diagnosed with a ‘chronic psychiatric disorder’, namely paranoid schizophrenia, and ruled not mentally capable.

The court is not expected to investigate whether she had any political or religious motive or whether her vendetta against Putin was a factor – despite her earlier statements.

On Monday she told judge Viktoria Koteneva, ‘I plead guilty’, when asked how she responded to charges of murdering a child, arson, and making bomb threats.

Soon after her trial began on Monday, the judge went into closed sessions, so the media and public could not follow it.

The court is no longer investigating whether the attack was politically or religiously motivated even though Bobokulova claimed she was avenging the Muslim blood spilled by Putin in Syria.

Bobokulova will most likely be sent to a psychiatric hospital rather than prison to undergo ‘forced compulsory medical measures’.

In her initial testimony – which was leaked to the Moscow media – she told an unnamed police investigator that she had a clear motive.

She said: ‘I took revenge. Putin spilled [the blood], he bombed with planes. Why on Muslim people? Why are you bombing?

She also claimed to have watched beheadings by militant groups on her computer, saying: ‘I saw online how they were cutting off heads. This hatred.

‘I saw how they cut off heads and I did it. There was a voice in my head: “Do it to the girl”. I killed the girl, yes. But I don’t need treatment.’

Anti-Putin campaigner Anexei Navalny has claimed that Bobokulova looked lucid and ‘not very crazy’.

But Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters: ‘I’m not an expert or a judge but it is obvious that we are definitely talking about a woman who is mentally unsound.

‘You need to regard anything that such a deranged woman says accordingly.’

The court will instead hear evidence that she became upset because she found out that her Tajik lover, Mamur Dzhurakulov, who she married under Sharia Law, already had a wife. This ‘pushed her towards the crime’, it is claimed.

The Investigative Committee – Russian equivalent of the FBI – will tell the court that there is no evidence she committed the crime at the behest of a terrorist group or was in touch with militants.

Her teenage son Rakhmatillo testified to say his mother became radicalised after meeting 48-year-old Dzhurakulov .

He said she told him of her plans to go to join ISIS, adding:’She told me that she wanted to do the Hajj and move to Syria because she would be able to wear a hijab, live in line with Sharia Law, study Islamic law.

‘Once I’d trained in a militant camp, I could become a mujahedin fighter and do jihad.’

Media reports that contacts of extremists were found on her mobile was denied by the committee.

Detectives scoured 500 pages of transcripts from her social media conversations but found no evidence of terror links, it is reported.

The nanny is a citizen of Uzbekistan.

Bobokulova is expected to be sent to a psychiatric hospital rather than prison to undergo ‘forced compulsory medical measures’.

She has boasted that being sent to a psychiatric hospital is an easier option than prison where she might have served 25 years.

‘I know everything,’ she said.

‘I have to undergo compulsory treatment for three years and then they will let me go.’

A psychiatrist working with her said: ‘She has not attacked anybody (in jail) during the last three months.

‘But this is thanks to intensive therapy only.

‘If she stops taking her pills right now, I cannot guarantee how she will behave. The chance of another crime is 50-50.’

  1. Who would let a muslim babysit their child anyway?! Well now you know not to. Too big of a risk. & aren’t ALL terrorist mental, or they wouldn’t be terrorist? Wth would the definition of terrorist be then? ALl the evidence says guilty of terrorism! Just because she’s mental, doesn’t make her not a terrorist. She should have been shot in the street while parading around the baby’s head & threatening a bomb! If this were in America, she’d of been shot before she got the end of her first constipated phrase out of her filthy mouth. Hate the garbage bag attire! It is the very symbolism of oppression! Jesus is coming & they WILL bow to Him!

  2. ………………………………………CONNECT THE DOTS!… OK?
    ……………………………JUST CONNECT THE FREAKING DOTS!
“One bad apple don’t spoil the whole bunch, girl”…
But if every bunch you get from a particular store always has a number of bad apples, maybe there is something wrong with that store.
Yes, I agree, the woman is “mentally ill” but she just so happens to be Muslim as well… like all the other mentally ill Muslims who the Left and the Media (also Left) keep refusing to call Muslims or Islamic Terrorists.
At some point, intelligent people connect the dots and say, “hey… wait a minute here… if all these “mentally ill” people are also Muslim… what does that say about their ideology?”
If you haven’t asked that question, you might be mentally ill.

  3. Sorry…but this story from the Daily Mail is a sham! There is no defense in Russia for mental illness for committing murder for one reason it is a sham. For another ….this woman died in prison awaiting her trial. In Russian prisons …you are not given protection. The inmates can and do serve justice in their own way. This woman was being beaten on a daily basis by the inmates for her crime. She died from her injuries that were inflicted during one such beating.

    • Have no idea where you are getting that information from. She is not held in a regular prison nor is there any information that she has died. She was alive for the court hearing last Monday. 10 March 2016 Boboqulova was transferred into psychiatric hospital at the Butyrka prison.

      • dear Admin…..

I have no idea where you get your information from either…..but I do know it’s not from the same people in Russia that I get mine from cuz if you had…you would know that this story from the Daily Mail is BS. My sources in Russia told me that she was dead…so she couldn’t possibly have been at a trial. My sources in Russia also told me that there is no defense for murder or any other charge called an insanity plea.

      • I suspect your friends in Moskva are exploiting technical or linguistic differences to claim there is no insanity defense, (Unless the law has been radically rewritten since 2001)
According to this Forensic Psychiatry paper by Alexander O. Bukhanovsky MD DSC and co: http://tinyurl.com/jzaleva

‘The Russian system allows for determination of insanity, limited sanity, and sanity. The insanity rule (Chapter 21 of the penal code) is as follows:

“A subject is not responsible for criminal offense, if at the time of commission of the socially dangerous act, he was in the state of insanity and was unable to appreciate factual nature and social danger of his act (or inaction) or control his actions as a result of chronic mental illness, temporary mental illness, mental deficiency or other pathological mental disturbance.”

  5. Russia clearly has the same crowd of Islam denialists as we have in Australia, and elsewhere. It can easily be argued that ALL Islamist terrorist activities are carried out by mentally maladjusted people, it doesn’t cancel out the inspirational and motivationa force behind their horrendous crimes.l

Nope they don’t. You just have websites believing BS stories from the UK and the USA about Russia.

Russia doesn’t give anyone ( especially muslims) a trial to plead mental illness for taking an individual’s life.

      • They do according to this Russian authored Forensic Psychiatry paper http://tinyurl.com/jzaleva and online copies of the Russian Penal Code.
        Such as: http://visalink-russia.com/criminal-code-russian-federation.html

        ARTICLE 21
        1. A person who, at the time of the commission of a socially dangerous act, was insane, that is, was unable to understand the actual character or social danger of his actions (inaction) or to govern them as a result consequence of a chronic or temporary mental derangement, mental deficiency or any other mental condition, shall not be subject to criminal responsibility.

Every Russian Criminal code website I was able to find repeats the same thing.

However I suppose it’s conceivable that the law has been radically changed since the most recent of these. That’s on you to prove, though I think.

Your first mistake is believing that everything on the internet is the ultimate truth.

I don’t have to prove what I am telling you….. I could really give a rat’s patootie if you believe or not.

BTW…..Just so you know….There are no British reporters in Russia as they have been found to be liars…just like American reporters! So go ahead and believe what you find on the internet…..just remember that someone has to put stuff on the internet, it doesn’t magically appear on it and almost everything has been spun to someone’s agenda!

      • On reflection, I have to confess though that it doesn’t actually specify ‘homicide’ . Article 107 does though set a precedent for reduced culpability on the grounds of temporary insanity

        1. Homicide committed in a state of sudden strong mental agitation (temporary insanity), caused by violence, mockery, or gross insult on the part of the victim, or by other unlawful or amoral actions (inaction) of the victim, or by a protracted mentally traumatizing situation caused in connection with the systematic unlawful or amoral behavior of the victimshall be punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term of up to three years or by restraint of liberty for the same term.
        2. Homicide against two or more persons committed in a state of temporary insanity
shall be punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term of up to five years.

It’s conceivable that you are correct and there is a loophole. It seems odd that temporary insanity can be a defense but permanent isn’t. However if Putin decides she was mentally ill and goes into a hospital, in the hospital she goes.

Putin doesn’t make the laws in Russia. The Kremlin makes the laws and the Judiciary and the police carry them out. Police aren’t part of the Judiciary but they are part of the civil service. Laws tend to be simpler in Russia as there are not as many lawyers in the Kremlin. They don’t split hairs. There is innocent and there is guilty…..real simple.

What Putin does though…if he thinks that there is something that needs a law, like say drug dealing not being allowed in Russia….. he makes a recommendation to the Kremlin, who drafts and writes the law ( which is why there is a Prime Minister! who is never a lawyer). They keep it simple.

The Soviets had all the complicated laws and one never really knew when they broke one until they were taken into custody….sort of like the US right now.
