He sent her another message discussing the possibility of a meet up, saying ‘cinema, sex, shopping?’
‘Gemma’ then asked the married man whether sex would be acceptable as she was only 12.
He replied saying: ‘I do not know, if you are under 18 then I will wait until you become 18.’
However the next day Hussein asked if she was a virgin and whether he could have sex with her so she was ‘no more [a] virgin’.
To that, she said: ‘Like I said I never done that [sex] before. Will it hurt?’ to which he responded ‘The first time it hurt’.
The married man had arranged to meet the ‘girl’ at the Bromley Court Hotel (pictured)
The 30-year-old arrived at their meeting with a rucksack containing Viagra pills, five condoms, 11 silk lubricant sachets and sex-prolonging delay spray.
He then arranged to meet her at the Bromley Court Hotel on February 29 at about 10.30pm – but he was instead greeted by two members of the vigilante group.
Internet Interceptors describe themselves as a ‘dedicated team of parents hunting paedophiles and sexual predators across the UK’.
When he was caught he said: ‘I feel guilty. It was a big mistake. Please give me one more chance. I will never do anything like this again.’
He also claimed he had not planned to have sex with the ‘girl’ and when questioned said ‘I am a Muslim, I never lie’.
After being snared he was arrested by police and the group handed over the chat logs between Hussein and the ‘girl’.
Hussein was caught by the group ‘Internet Interceptor’ and they described him as a ‘compulsive liar’ who ‘smirked and laughed’ throughout his trial
In a statement, Hussein said he thought the girl had been ‘pranking’ him saying she was 12.
He also claimed he would have sent her home from the hotel if she was actually that age when she arrived.
But a jury did not believe him and he was found guilty at Inner Crown Court.
The vigilante group claimed he was a ‘compulsive liar’ and ‘smirked and laughed’ throughout his trial.
They also said he boasted how he would ‘definitely find a partner’ after the case had closed.
He will be sentenced at the same court on Wednesday November 9.
