Pro-migrant liberals accused of fueling violence in Calais camp

No surprises here. Read history. The socialist left have always been the world’s terrorists in non-Muslim societies before the arrival of Islam. Now they run the roost – and support Islam.

What’s more absurd is that the Muslims are rioting, attacking police and threatening people for being moved to better accommodation. They themselves claim the reason they keep attacking police is because they “don’t want to be fingerprinted”. And why is that?… The camp is being thorn down to move them to various new housing which is far better than their makeshift tents. Just shows how stupid they are. They just like creating problems. It’s their nature.

This the terrifying moment a migrant fled from a blade-wielding attacker as French authorities continued their attempt to clear the Calais Jungle.

The man could be seen brandishing a kitchen knife and grabbing hold of another person as tensions boiled over in the slum in northern France today.

Riot squad officers returned to the migrant camp for a third successive day of clearing the camp of makeshift homes.

It comes after the town’s Prefect blamed British anarchists for manipulating a ‘hardcore’ of 150 migrants into causing violence in the sprawling encampment.

The senior national government representative in the Calais area, Fabienne Buccio, believes migrants have been manipulated by the British ‘extremist’ No Borders activists.

Ms Buccio told the Independent‘(No Borders activists) are young people who are driven by an anarchist ideology of hatred of all laws and frontiers.

‘They have no real concern for the suffering of the migrants. They manipulate them and they mislead them. They harass the social workers we send to canvass them about staying in France.

‘And they are dangerous. One of my police officers had his hand broken in five places on Monday. They are not throwing pebbles.’

Hundreds of CRS officers armed with tear gas, batons and riot shields surrounded the squalid site where some 4,000 people live, with many intent on reaching the UK.

Migrants and refugees who have fled war, poverty and persecution looked on as bulldozers dismantled shacks and piled belongings into containers.

In an effort to halt the slow tear-down, some people sat on top of the flimsy homes as banks of CRS officers watched the crowds within the camp’s southern section.

Local government official Vincent Berton said the operation to clear the southern section would last three weeks.

And he said the overall aim was to halve the population size of the sprawling site to around 2,000.

He said: ‘On Monday morning we were surprised by the little number of people here.

‘We are trying not to shift the problem. We are very focused. We are trying for a better solution especially for the children.’

French authorities want to relocate people from the rat-infested site to heated containers nearby or to centres around France where they can apply for asylum. State authorities have said up to 1,000 people will be affected.

But aid workers say the figure is likely to be much higher. Help Refugees said its own analysis revealed there were 3,455 people living in the affected area.

Save The Children said nearly 400 unaccompanied children who have fled war, poverty and persecution live at the site.

Campaigners had called for a postponement to remove people from the slum, saying there was not enough new accommodation for people to move to.

Calais has lived with migrants in its midst for years, but the current camp on the city’s edge sprang up around a day centre opened last April by the state – and has grown explosively.

Repeated bids to cross the Channel to Britain have been made by migrants, prompting an Anglo-French operation to bolster security around the ports, including the erection of razor-topped fences.

Some have criticised the decision to send in demolition teams, including Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron, who said razing the camp was not the solution.

But British hauliers welcomed last week’s court judgment.

The Freight Transport Association (FTA) said mass disruption caused by migrants cost the UK freight industry an estimated £750,000 a day last year.

FTA officials said a solution needed to be found to protect the £89 billion of UK trade which passes through cross-Channel ports annually.

Many truckers have reported facing intimidation and violence from migrants attempting to climb into their HGVs for passage to Britain.

One migrant, a 22-year-old man from Darfur, Sudan, said the French authorities have treated them like ‘animals’.

As bulldozers tipped crushed shacks into containers, the man, who declined to be named, said: ‘I don’t know what to do.

‘The French need to find a solution for us. I want to go to England.

‘One of the reasons to go to England is because you can see what life is like for us in France. We have been in this camp living like this for six months.

‘We have been treated like animals. We know that we are not above the law but what they are doing is very aggressive.’

Officials at Doctors of the World, a medical charity that has been working in Calais since 2003, said safe and legal routes should be established for people seeking sanctuary in the UK.

Its executive director, Leigh Daynes, said: ‘The French government has not kept its promise to manage safely and gradually a reduction in the camp population. Dawn police raids, followed by tear gas and water cannons, are shameful methods to use against those already traumatised by war.

‘As the camp’s destruction continues without adequate alternatives in place, we’re concerned for those forced to move to even more squalid settlements. Filthy squats and muddy woods are not places vulnerable men, women and children should be living at winter time.

‘Ultimately, the camp population shouldn’t be reduced at the expense of people’s physical and mental health.’

  1. “.. a third successive day of clearing the slum of makeshift homes got under way.” – Hey Richard Branson I remember you saying during your recent visit to Calais that you admired the “entrepreneurial spirit” of the inhabitants. Now, completely disillusioned (extreme sarcasm) I learn the fruits of entrepreneurship created a “slum.” How shocking to learn that Muslim hordes are not creative types.

Without foreign aid, assistance, European welfare benefits, or oil revenue, what do Muslims create except hell on earth ?

    • Just so you know, these are the marxist section of anarchists.

Their goal is to force all people to be equally mediocre. Why? Because then nobody will be ‘unfairly advantaged’ and everyone will be happy.

They refuse to understand that actually they will have created a world full of places that are indeed equal, but because they are all equally shitholes.

I would of liked to of set fire to it while they were still in it.I believe anyone who supports these child molesters, rapists and murderers must agree with this behaviour which makes them the same, since when have rapists and murderers had cheerleaders?? Only muslim ones, and Jeremy Corbin leader of Labour UK was in the camp with a group of supporters of rape and murder as does his-self and they ended up getting a load of this scum to storm a ferry??? And not one was nicked,i cannot understand as much as i try how anyone can support this scum, they are just the same in my eyes!!! I cannot get the meds i need as they are too expensive but they can put this scum up in cushy prisons, outrageous.

  4. Moslem invaders still pour in at Greece. Macedonia has lowered the fence so Greece has the problem. Unbelievable that the EU still is passive in securing the EU’s outer border thus leaving the questions to be solved in Spain, Italy, France and Greece.
All technical remedies are at hand in resolving the stream of invaders. But the traitors’ in Brussel either have a hidden schedule or don’t give a damn.
